Welcome Wisteria

I've been working hard all day to complete this doll. She has been a joy. All that is left is some work on the removable dress, and hair! She has nicely stuffed uniform arms and legs, a curvy bod, lavender scented belly, big blue heart and a kind face. Wisteria is a climbing shrub of the pea family!!! More to follow in her family of friends. Ask me about details. She is roughly 16" high, and $115, but prices do vary slightly. Buttons and small parts-but not on all-although Muk dolls are recommended for those over three years of age, and generally for mature enthusiasts.

October doll bodies

Never fear, a new series of MUK dolls is on their way. It's been a long time since I created a series of dolls, but the time has arrived. They are coming as a group-but all retain their autonomy and individual characteristics. Some features will include lavender scented bellies, removable dresses/garments, soft, unbleached cotton batting, elfin booties, and embroidered faces. Updates coming regularly, so check back often. Doll prices start at $105 and go up for this size range and level of detail.

Flour Sack Babies

These ravioli heads are born of the fabric that doesn't get used for larger projects. They are reminiscent of old-fashioned crafts that used the fabric from flour sacks when bolts of fabric were expensive and harder to come by. Why waste the flour sack? They were often printed and ornate. A recent 2 year old recipient thought her doll (the green face) looked both like a cat and an owl.

Enjoy!

Vintage 28 Workshop

The Children's garment dyed line that I work for, Vintage 28 Workshop, participated in the Red Hot Chicago Fashion show Thursday October 11th. I designed the pink tunic, and the dress on the girl who you can't see. these are part of our Spring line for 2008. The event was VIP with cocktails, the show, a dinner, live music, and lots of VIP folks of whom I spoke to about 3 or so. My boss walked down the runway as the "designer" and his name was announced, while two enormous video screens displayed his picture. None of my Vintage 28 pictures came out that well, but I have other pics up on my flickr page, and more to come next month when I get more bandwidth.

muk in action

I am currently on a role completing many variations of my ribbon pin design. You and your friends deserve a ribbon pin for all that you do! Also, check out my Flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/muktropolis/ to see images of the completed aardvardks in the likeness of me and my husband. Muk has been hard at work in Muktropolis preparing for a busy season ahead. Gift giving, celebrations, the coming of winter...these are all occasions to award yourself a ribbon for a job well done, or contact me to find out more ways that Muktropolis can work for you.
